Finished Objects

FINISHED OBJECTS*

*Finished Object: ends weaved in, washed and blocked

Pattern: Besotted Scarf - Ravelry
Yarn: Brooks Farm Four Play - Ravelry
Comments: This was a lot of fun to knit up. The pattern doesn't show up as well as I would've liked due to the variegated color. It is a gift for The Husband, so I kinda like that the "hugs & kisses" don't show up so well - its my secret message to him. (Okay - so you know...just hush.)

Pattern: Sproingy Scarf - Ravelry
Yarn: Brooks Farm Four Play - Ravelry
Comments: This pattern was very interesting but I don't know that that yarn really picked up the fun bits. It was nice yarn to work with though.

Comments: I really enjoyed this pattern. I love the stitch definition.

Pattern: Rosebud Shawl - Ravelry
Yarn: Briar Rose Fibers Fourth of July - Ravelry
Comments: This was a lot of fun to knit. Not so much fun blocking. (The husband was kind enough to pose with the shawl...)

Blocking...Ugh

Is there anything more tedious and boring than blocking? I've been blocking my 90% finished items since Sunday. As one dries, then another one takes its place.

It started with the Diagonal Lace scarf:

Then the Mini-Clap:

There's still a little room left -- so Huff the Merino Dragon gets his turn on the board.

The Mini-Clap dried the next day. So, in went the Besotted Scarf (The Husband's Birthday gift).

Yesterday, Huff and the Diagonal Lace Scarf dried, so I replaced them with My So-Called Scarf and the Sproingy Scarf.

I think the worst part is leaning on the moist surface and having it seep into your skin. Granted threading the wires through is tedious, but really, I hate the damp.

Stayed tuned...Finished Objects Coming Soon.

This is my favorite picture of Bruce & Lizzie. She was less than 4 months old in the picture.

Monday's Aren't My Favorite Day

Not that anything bad happened... I just don't like Mondays. It is alway so hard to get up in the morning and I hate having to try and remember what I was working on when I left the office on Friday. I think I leave myself notes -- trail markers to my activities and plans -- but come Monday, the notes are just obscure.

Also Monday means that I have to leave my house and the company of The Husband and my dogs and my knitting. This is after a weekend of "cleaning" which meant that I got to play with my stash. I made sure that all my projects and yarn were entered in Ravelry. I wish there was some way of keeping track of all the patterns that I have, especially from magazines. But I digress...

I wanted to stay home and keep knitting on my Sproingy Scarf. I'm use my Brooks Farm Four Play. I love the way the colors are showing up in the scarf. Sorry, no pictures -- I need to take pictures of a bunch of FO's. I also need to take some pictures of the dogs.

Instead, I think I'll just spend some quality time with my scarf.
